Swimming Education Expertise

One of the most rewarding parts of having a pool is watching a child learn to swim. As an optional service, we provide your children with swimming lessons. Our classes contain no more than three students to ensure that all children receive the attention they need to become proficient swimmers. Swim instructors are seventeen years of age or older and have completed over 46 hours of training through the American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor program. As well as delivering the lessons, each instructor handles class progress reports, certificates and communication with parents.

We hope that if you are looking for any of these swimming pool services in your area, you will contact us. Remember, our goal is to take care of all your headaches while you relax by the pool. Our dedicated office staff are standing by to take your calls and answer all of your questions. Call us today, or fill out our online application, to begin the registration process!

Five Levels of Progression

Clown Fish
Level 1: "Entering the comfort zone"

The syllabus that the fresh-in-the-water Clown Fish will follow covers the foundation skills: immersion of the face, resperatory control, floating on the chest and back, elementary freestyle (front crawl) and back stroke, and how to safely enter and exit a body of water. This class will teach the child that the water can be fun and safe by using toys, stories, and water safety rules. Children who have developed a fear of the water from a tramatic experience, or that have difficulty dealing with separation will benefit from Level 1 participation.

Sea Horse
Level 2: "Fundemental swimming skills"

Sea Horses dive in to learning how to swim. Pupils learn to use alternate techniques to enter and exit the water safely, immerse their entire head, how to swim on their side, roll over underwater, move around with a float, tread water using their arms and legs, retreive a submerged object, and practice glides and combined strokes.

Sting Ray
Level 3: "Building advanced fundemental skills"

Sting Rays build proficiency on the capabilities learned as a Sea Horse through additional guided practice. Students also learn how to jump in to deep water, practice proper form and head bobbing, develop rotary breathing techniques, progress their glides and crawls, and learn survival floats and how to perform a reaching assist.

Orca
Level 4: "Establishment of confidence"

In addition to refinement of their overall swimming composure and techniques, Orcas learn shallow diving form, practice their open turns on both their back and front, and develop the proficency necessary to critique strokes.

Shark
Level 5: "Mastery level"

Sharks learn advanced diving, treading, and turning techniques. Glide distance, water crawls and in-water maneuverability are polished. The student also learns the breaststroke.

Make-Up Lesson Policy

Instructors are responsible to contact the participants or parents of participants by telephone. The water safety instructor will make a determination at that time to conduct the class or not. Lessons will only be canceled if there is thunder/lightning in the area or if it is raining too hard to safely conduct the class. Participants should arrive at the pool to confirm the lesson is in fact being canceled.

Scheduling Make-Up Lessons

Make-up lessons will be scheduled at the first available time of the participant and instructor.
